And more Christmas Cards.
I hope to see lots of friends and neighbors this Saturday. Tell all your friends and bring the whole family.
That’s the end of the blatant plug for the craft fair. 🙂 On a personal note I just had a lower back procedure today so I’m either going to be feeling great Saturday or I’ll be doubled over in pain. I’m hoping for the feeling great part. I’ll know better tomorrow morning when the pain pills wear off.
It was a pretty busy week. I got out and about but is wasn’t all fun and games. My little baby Dixie had to go to the vet for some minor surgery. She developed some bumps on her chest, I panicked and the Vet said they should be removed. Our Vet, Dr Esbeck from the Sawnee Animal Clinic is super good and has taken care of all my babies for the last 10 years or more. Dixie is doing great. She is tolerating the stitches and has not needed the cone of shame.
My infusion therapy was awesome! The Doctors cranked the dose up and I feel great this week.
The awesome box of punches below got delivered Tuesday. I guess I ordered them while I was a little bit foggy after my infusion because I sure don’t remember it. But heck who doesn’t like a box of EK punches!! This takes care of all the square one’s I’ve been jonesing for.
I’ve gotten behind on my Paper Pumpkin sets too. Here are 2 that I still need to get through.
Finally this week I’ve got to get ready for the fall craft fair at Cumming First Baptist Church on Nov. 7th from 9:00 am till I don’t know when. Stop by and say Hi and grab up some great Christmas Cards.
Had a tough week. The damp weather really hurts. The back procedure did help a little and next week I go in for my long overdue infusion therapy. I did get into the card room a little bit and did get a couple new things checked off the list.
With the help of my awesome husband we did a couple of the iris flowers with different pastel techniques. One was done with the soft pastel sticks and the other with the oil pastels. I did the soft and Larry did the oils. I think they both turned out nice.
I’ve got a long way to go learning to “paint” these flowers but I got the totally awesome “Pan Pastels” that Susan uses in all her videos and I’m looking forward to learning how to use these. I’m so lucky to be married to Larry. He was selected employee of the month at work, got a $50 gift card and immediately went to Blick’s Art Supply and used that gift card to buy me the Pan Pastels.
One of my pain treatment doctors had a baby so I made him and his wife a super extra special baby card. I’ll get to give it to him this coming week when I go in for infusion. Here’s my blog readers sneak peek.
Made another special wedding card. This might get to be a habit.
And now for a little fun off the workbench, Halloween is right around the corner and the neighbors in the hood are getting all into it this year with porch decorations so I had to jump in as well. We drug out a bunch of goodies and made the porch a little bit festive and we have our new Dachshund Skeleton chewing on a foot.
And it wouldn’t be Halloween around here with out boo bags. and I made really nice ones this year. Hope the kids enjoy them.
That’s it from the workbench this week. Not sure how much I’ll get done this coming week, two days will be taken up with the infusion therapy.
One more trip to the doctor before the big July 4th show. I don’t talk (or type) much about it but pain is a bitch! I’ve had so much the past few years that this new therapy has been a huge turn around for me. I still have pain but it’s not a constant gnawing 8-10 level pain like it was just last year. Since the fibromyalgia therapy started the middle of last year I’ve actually enjoyed many days with a level 3 pain. This coming week I’m going in for a simple epidural to target the actual physical pain in my hips and lower back. These treatments have also been a big help and were only possible because of the fibromyalgia therapy which got rid of all the never pain long enough for the doctors (and me) to find the physical pain underneath it all.
We got our space assignment letter Wednesday. We will be in space 45-A (whatever that means) The craft show runs all day right up till dark. Please stop by and say hi. Let me know you saw this on CardDoc.net and I’ll give you a free card with every 4 you buy. (everybody else has to buy 5 to get the freebie)
Enough of my rambling, the bottom line is hopefully I’ll be able to handle the long long day in Marietta for the Fourth of July show. Here are all the cards and gift card holders, lots of gift card holders, I’ve made this past week. I’m so worried, anxious and excited about this first show. I’ve made so many cards and I hope it’s enough.
Still working on building the inventory up for what I’m hoping will be a very successful show. Since it’s never really to early to plan for Christmas, this installment has a few more Christmas goodies.
Check out these super special gift tags. These keepsake tags will really show how much you care! Pick up 2 or 10 or more, heck they’re cheaper by the dozen.
Every tag is different and you’ll be able to mix and match any you like.
And speaking of tags, here are some special pocket tags perfect for all those gift cards you’ll be giving this year. Several designs to choose from as well.
Finally a simple Christmas card and we’ve got a lot of these. They will be available in sets. The inside has a white section with a stamped sentiment and plenty of room for your own message and signature.
Still busy putting together cards for the July 4th Craft Fair at Marietta Square. This installment highlights my Christmas Cards for 2015. I’ve created a few unique cards just for the craft fair. We”ll have these available in sets of 5 or 10 so plan now to take care of those special friends and family with these unique cards. Visit our Christmas Gallery Page to see the entire collection.

It’s official, we’re in at the 4th of July Marietta, Georgia Craft Fair, Carnival, parade and fireworks show. Oh my what have I gotten myself into? It’s a big all day party from 10am to 10pm. Here is a bit of information from the City of Marietta web site.
The city of Marietta’s Fourth in the Park celebration begins Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 10 a.m. and includes a parade, free live concerts, museum tours, arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and fireworks finale.
The Marietta Freedom Parade includes 110 entries, 2,000 participants and an estimated 30,000 spectators.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Roswell Street Baptist Church and travels west on Roswell Street, north on East Park Square past Glover Park and the Square, down Cherokee Street and ends at North Marietta Parkway.
Entries include marching units from the city of Marietta, civic organizations, beauty queens, scouts and local businesses.
The end of the parade marks the start of the Festival. Food concessions, arts and crafts and carnival will provide plenty to do for the whole family.
Now I need to get busy making more cards. See you in Marietta, Geogia July 4th.
So I’m gearing up (literally) for my next big step in this adventure. I’m submitting applications to sell my cards at several local North Georgia Craft Fairs. I have no idea if anybody will really buy my cards (total strangers that is). So far all my card sales have been to people I know in some way. Neighbors, friends, people at my husband’s office. So this is a really big step.
Here are the pictures I’ll be submitting with my applications. The first one will be going out for the July 4th Fair in Marietta. I hope I get accepted. Below is my new canopy and my booth setup on my back patio as a quick test and to get a picture to send in with the application.
A simple card with a delicate butterfly cutout. What a wonderful card for a sister, cousin and even that BBF. The soft sky blue and subdued background keep this card light and soft. Watch for this one in the store soon.
A new selection of beautiful Thank You cards have just been finished up. Some of my first cards were thank you cards for my doctors and nurses. So glad to be feeling better and making cards for lots of people.
